The oil-strainer recall is the first question every time

As with all 4.0 TT cars, oil starvation threatened the turbos; Audi recalled the oil strainers and backed the turbos with a 10-year/120k warranty afterward. The community reflexively asks whether the recall is done on every listing, so confirming it (with receipts, and ideally a note on turbo shaft play at the inspection) is the buyer's first task.
