Short-nose crank (SNC) on pre-1994 1.6L cars

The early short-nose crankshaft can wear the keyway and cause a crank-pulley wobble, but the community treats it as roughly 1% rare, largely a product of poor mechanicing (improper woodruff key seating / crank-bolt torque during timing-belt work) rather than the design, and notes long-nose engines can fail too.
