Forced induction and engine swaps

The NC responds well to power adds: the Flyin' Miata/Cosworth supercharger (~225 hp) was long the only kit but is now out of production with scarce parts (so it can hurt resale), while FM turbo kits (~240 hp) are the favored path and make the car noticeably more fun everywhere. Larger swaps exist too — a Ford 2.5L turbo ~300 hp build and an aluminum LS that adds minimal weight over the stock 2.0.
