Originality premium versus restored examples

There is a strong current of preference for unmolested, original survivor cars — all-original paint, interior, carbs and ID plates — as impossible to replicate, even when weathered. Yet the market frequently rewards fresh, correct restorations more, and some original survivors sell surprisingly cheaply.
