Rust hot-spots: windshield corners, door bottoms, hinges and shock mounts

Rust inspection focuses on a well-known set of areas: the windshield perimeter/A-pillar corners, rear door bottoms, under the door hinges, the rear hatch surround and the rear shock mounts and spring perches where water collects. Northeast trucks are expected to show surface rust in these spots, and the top rear shock mount rusting out is called out specifically.
