Experienced buyers treat a too-clean, freshly undercoated underside as a red flag rather than a selling point, since a coating can trap and mask flaking rust the factory never applied. The recommended checks are dry-ice blasting to bare metal and looking for paint overspray on the door-jamb data plate as proof of a repaint.
