The R170 SLK32 AMG is prized as an underappreciated supercharged-V6 sleeper, quick enough to embarrass sports-car owners and, per one owner, a touch quicker than the later V8 SLK55. Its only weak spot is the drivetrain: the 722.6 5-speed automatic is called indestructible but 'too tame,' and AMG never offered the car with a manual.
