Because these are specialized, expensive cars, the community holds that presentation and provenance matter almost as much as condition: full service records, few owners, and a knowledgeable seller can add tens of thousands, while a poorly presented car from a dealer with no SLR experience and many prior owners gets torpedoed. Buyers are reminded they are buying the seller as much as the car.
