1993 introduced two-stage base/clear paint

The 1993 model year transitioned to two-stage base/clear paint, replacing the single-stage paint used on 1989-1992 cars. This affects authentication and correction work: a 1993 with original paint is paint-meter-readable in ways earlier cars aren't, and paint touch-up matching is fundamentally different across the model-year boundary.
