The RS2 Avant (1994-1995, ~2,900 built, never officially US-sold) is the Porsche-co-developed super-wagon that started the RS line: a ~315 hp 2.2L turbocharged inline-5 (ADU) assembled by Porsche, wearing Porsche-derived brakes, Cup-style wheels, and mirrors. Because it was never federalized, nearly every car in the market is a grey-market import, so the conversation is dominated by import logistics and the 25-year rule, by the car's Porsche pedigree and cult 'best wagon ever' status, and by condition scrutiny on a 30-year-old vehicle.
