Restorers warn that trim, seals, wheels and drivetrain parts are increasingly no-longer-available and that much aftermarket stock is poor, so a neglected car can need a five-figure drivetrain-and-suspension sort. Other multi-car owners push back that with patience original MB and OE parts can still be found; both camps agree a cheap SEC is the most expensive one to own.
