Paint originality, meter readings and PPF

Buyers demand paint-meter readings and interrogate any panel reading high, but the community knows PPF on the front end reads thicker and is not evidence of a respray. Genuine original paint is a strong selling point; on imports, professional repaints (often quarter panels, sometimes done in Japan) can be nearly impossible to detect even by a dealer technician.
