Buy on condition and spec, not mileage

A dominant piece of buying advice is that at 25-30+ years old these cars age by time, not miles: suspension bushings and top hydraulics degrade whether driven or not, so a well-maintained higher-mileage car is preferred over a tired, neglected low-mileage one. Several experienced sellers repeat the maxim explicitly.
