VDO gauge quirks: odometer alignment and dead clocks

Buyers are cautioned not to over-read misaligned odometer digits, which is described as normal VDO behavior; the real tell is a trip meter reading 0000, which usually means it was reset in motion and can stop the odometer gears from counting. Non-working clocks are common and cheaply fixed by recapping or swapping in any R107 tach.
